Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church has suspended all church service in South Africa due to outbreak of coronavirus, Faceofmalawi can reveal.

This is in response to South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa directive suspending all gatherings of over 100 people.

Bushiri’s Public Relations Officer Ephraim Nyondo confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page.

“Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has, with immediate effect, suspended all ECG Church services in South Africa.

“This is in line with South Africa president Cyril Ramaphosa directive outlawing all gatherings of over 100 people,” wrote Nyondo.

He added: “The Prophet, however, will still be televangelising through Prophetic Channel and all our social media platforms.

“Also note that ECG Church services are intact in all other 25 countries where we operate.”

So far Coronavirus has claimed over 5,000 people in China.
