United Transformation Movement (UTM) patron Noel Masangwi took to the podium to preach of the deadly coronavirus which has caused panic around the globe.
Speaking at UTM rally on Sunday at Njamba Freedom Park in Blantyre, Masangwi told the gathering to be alert on the pandemic.
He continued by telling the crowd to follow all the prevention measures even though Malawi has not registered any case of the virus.
Concurring with Masangwi was UTM’s President Saulos Chilima who said Malawians should avoid greeting each other using handshakes for it is one way of transmitting the virus.
The state vice president went further by offering himself to carry out any official duty regarding the virus.
Meanwhile, Malawi has not registered any case of the virus, however all prevention measures are being taken in preparedness of the virus in case of the breakout.
