Mutharika declines to assent electoral bills

President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has withheld his decision to assent to the electoral bills passed recently by the National Assembly ahead of the forthcoming fresh Presidential polls.
Mutharika’s Press Officer Mgeme Kalilani confirmed of the development in a press briefing currently under in Blantyre.
The development means the fresh Presidential polls will not be held on May 19, 2020 as proposed by Parliament.
