
Chilima claims govt seeking access from telecommunication companies to spy opposition political party

State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima who is also President of the United Transformation Movement (UTM) has made claims that the government is spying on Malawians and pushing telecommunication companies to give access so it can spy on people.
Chilima said this during the alliance signing ceremony of Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and UTM currently underway at Kamuzu Institute for Sports in the capital Lilongwe.
He has stressed that should anyone dismiss his claim, he shall proceed to publicize in newspapers the evidence he has sourced on the same.
“I have the letter in my possession if you dispute it I will publish it the newspaper,” said Chilima while attracting ululation from the people.
