Paseka Motsoeneng, who is infamously known as Prophet Mboro, has opened up about the coronavirus epidemic in South Africa.

ProphetMboro Times shared a video of the religious leader dressed in protective wear as he spoke about the novel Covid-19 virus.

Mboro said he made a prophecy last year about an outbreak after receiving a message from God. He then talked about the impact the virus would have on thousands of lives and the economy.

While he does not downplay the seriousness of the virus, Mboro did slam pastors who decided to close their churches.

“It’s a shame to see churches closing down, as the Chief Justice of South Africa Mogoeng Mogoeng has said, churches should practice what they’ve been preaching,” he wrote in the video’s caption.

Mboro added that they will take the necessary steps to ensure the congregation’s safety but the services would go on.

He will not allow more than 100 people in at a time and members will be spaced at least one metre away from each other.

He said:

“We must always remember that David defeated Goliath when it seemed impossible, we can also defeat all the outbreaks if we can stand in unity and in oneness as churches.”

After filming the video, Mboro and his team decontaminated the church to help kill the germs.
