Gwamba, a Christian rapper has postponed his album launch in Mzuzu amid coronavirus though the country is yet to register any case concerning coronavirus.

Gwamba posted on his facebook page that he regret to announce the postponement of his album in Mzuzu which was slated for March 28.

“I regret to announce the postponement of my album launch in Mzuzu, Malawi, which was slated for March 28”.

Gwamba said he has taken this painful yet bold and important decision because of the Coronavirus pandemic which, with each passing day, is proving a fatal attack on humanity.

“The health of my fans is my top priority, and I don’t have to wait for the government to say anything on the danger on our doorsteps. The risk is too high and I don’t want to be part of the problem—I have chosen to be part of the solution.”

“I understand that Malawi hasn’t registered a case yet”.

“However, the escalation of cases in neighbouring countries such as Zambia and South Africa should worry all of us. As such, we are left without option, as a country, but go full gear with preventive measures.”

The Christian rapper will announce the new date once the virus has been declared over and everyone is safe.

“I love my fans so much and let me take this opportunity to encourage you to always wash your hands, observe social distance and stay safe”.
