Former President Dr. Joyce Banda who is also founder of the Peoples Party (PP) has hailed Muhammad Sidik Mia for paving way for the alliance of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and United Transformation Movement (UTM) ahead of the forthcoming Presidential polls.
Banda said this at the alliance signing ceremony of MCP-UTM at Kamuzu Institute of Sports in Lilongwe.
“I want to thank Sidik Mia for showing his love for Malawi by showing that you can be off a title and still serve the country in another way,” said Banda.
Banda also hailed Saulos Chilima for his humility during the talks for the alliance.
