Alleluya Band members are on a 14-day quarantine at Kameza in Blantyre having returned from Italy recently.

The members on qaurantine include the former band leader Coss Chiwalo, deputy band leader Gertrude Naluso and Madalitso Naferakanso, are expected out of quarantine at the end this month.

The group, which is based in Balaka, has been visiting Italy every year for performances which are aimed at raising funds for different projects at Andiamo.

The leader said they are doing great currently.

“So far so good, God is good all the time, since we are in quarantine, we are not allowed out and so we have been indoors since we came last Friday. Again, we are all in our rooms, we only communicate through phones and at times we have to put on masks when we are getting things from each other,” said Naluso one of the member.

Naluso urged people in the country to take precautionary measures despite that the country not registering any  cases of corona virus.

The former leader of the band added that that on their way from Italy to Malawi, they were screened and that it was also important for them to undergo quarantine here.

Italy is one of the country in Europe that has been affected by corona pandemic.
