Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and its ally United Transformation Movement (UTM) will this afternoon hold press briefing.

The briefing is expected to start at 3 pm in the afternoon at Crossroads Hotel in the capital City Lilongwe.

This will be the first joint briefing of the two parties since they joined forces on Thursday ahead of fresh presidential polls.

However the main agenda of the joint press briefing is currently known.

The possible alliance between MCP and UTM was finalized on March 19  in Lilongwe ahead of the forthcoming fresh presidential polls to be held on May 19, 2020.
