Three Mchinji health personnel  who were collecting data on malnutrition status in the district have been injured by angry mob on suspicion that they were blood suckers.

One of the Victims Isaac Siwande said the angry mob smashed their vehicle and also took away their gadgets  such as laptop and phones that they were using for collecting data.

One of the injured persons has been admitted to Mchinji District Hospital while the other two have been treated as out patients.

Meanwhile, Mchinji District Health Promotions Officer Owen Chataika has described the incident as a challenge in providing quality health services in the district
