Police in Mulanje are keeping in custody two women suspected to have trafficked a 14-year-old girl.
Mulanje Police publicist Gresham Ngwira confirmed the arrest.
According to Ngwira the girl as being forced to sell beer and sleeping with men at some drinking places in Monkey Bay, Mangochi district.
After being taken to court on Wednesday, the suspects pleaded not guilty of the charges placed against them.
Meanwhile the case has been adjourned to March 30, 2020.
