Malawian Airlines has effective today suspended flights to Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Harare and South Africa as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
The Airline’s Public Relations Manager Joseph Josiah has confirmed.
Said Josiah: “The suspension in Nairobi is until further notice, in Johannesburg until 16th April while in Dar es Salaam and Harare the suspension will be effective until 31st March 2020.”
On Wednesday South African Authorities denied entry to 14 passengers who travelled from Malawi to South Africa through Malawian Airlines. Only South African residents and citizens were allowed in.
South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania and Zimbabwe where Malawian Airlines ply it’s route have recorded positive COVID19 cases.
