In India – 45-year-old man was killed after he advised four men to stay home for self-quarantine in view of coronavirus pandemic.

The four accused had recently returned to their villages in Palamu district from other states.

According to a reports, the incident took place on Wednesday when the man told the accused to stay home in isolation as they returned from other states.

The four youth thrashed the victim who later died in hospital. The victim has been identified as Kashi Saw.

The accused were armed with sticks and attacked Saw at Chak Udaipur village after an argument.

“After severe injuries, the victim was shifted to a health centre and later referred to Palamu Medical Colleg but he died during treatment. A case has been registered against the four accused,” said Sandip Kumar Gupta, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Palamu Sadar.

There has been no arrest in the case yet. Jharkhand has not reported any coronavirus case so far.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation for the second time in a week informing people about the 21-day lockdown amid coronavirus pandemic.

Later, the authorities in various parts of the country swung into action to implement lockdown. PM Modi said if people do not take the lockdown seriously, then the nation had to pay a heavy price.
