Blantyre City Council bans street vending, wedding ceremonies amid COVID-19 scare

Information reaching Faceofmalawi indicates that Blantyre City Council has with immediate effect banned street vending, wedding ceremonies, bridal showers, engagement ceremonies, night clubs, sporting activities and other social gatherings.
This has been disclosed in a press statement posted on the council’s facebook page seen by FOM’s reporter.
According to the statement, the ban is in the wake of Coronavirus threat.
