Construction works for the expansion of Domasi College of Education in Zomba are on schedule with November remaining the target completion date.

The expansion works will see the construction of new hostels, a laboratory, a 500-seater library, a theatre and offices among other buildings.

Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Dr. William Susuwele Banda, said, when complete, the new infrastructure will help government increase intake of students and also provide more reading space in the new two-story library.

He said the expansion fits well with the vision of President Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika of increasing uptake of students into tertiary institutions.
