Covid-19: MEC Strict on Preventive Measures

Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) indicates that it has put in place strict voter registration measures to protect the public from contracting Covid-19.
The first phase of the registration exercise enters its fourth day today ahead of the 2 July fresh presidential election.
There have been concerns over the public’s safety at registration centers amid the deadly outbreak.
Five people have so far tested positive for the coronavirus and one death has been recorded from the deadly coronavirus.
However, authorities are yet to confirm on the death.
