Leader of Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has announced a Covid-19 response intervention worth K50 Million in Malawi.
In a press statement seen by Face of Malawi Reporter, Bushiri has made the announcement through his humanitarian arm Shepherd Bushiri Foundation (SBF).
According to the statement, the Foundation will be distributing freely several necesities aimed at preventing the spread of Coronavirus.
The Foundation will focus much on disadvantaged communities, prisons, rural health centers, bicycle operators and minibus drivers.
Adding to that, the Foundation has announced that the media will also be engaged with an aim of helping in raising awareness of the virus in rural areas using different channels of media.
The Foundation has also called on other organization working on Covid-19 to partner with them in the fight against coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Malawi has registered 7 active cases of coronavirus with single death record.
