Chief justice Andrew Nyirenda has adjourned to Monday 13 April, hearing of Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC)  application on its intent to be represented by lawyers from South Africa in the appeals case.

Nyirenda failed to hear the application on Wednesday because the lawyers were not yet in the country.

The lawyers are expected in the country on Sunday 12 April.

Judiciary Spokesperson Agnes Patemba has said the application  for the admission of the South African based lawyers will be heard on Monday at 9 am in Lilongwe.
