The High Court in Lilongwe has ruled out Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) application to postpone fresh presidential elections citing Covid-19 as the reason.
The Application was made and heard yesterday at the high court.
MEC has the right to appeal the case to Supreme Court of Appeal.
The country is expected to go to polls on July 2 following the nullification of May 21, 2019 presidential elections case by the Constitutional Court on February 3.
