Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that Assistant Trade Officer at Mulanje District Council MacDonald Njoka- Phiri has been suspended for insulting President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika on social media.
This has been disclosed in a letter signed by District Commissioner Michael Chimbalanga which has gone viral on Facebook.
Njoka Phiri has been ordered to make handovers to the DC and leave Mulanje immediately pending further investigation.
