COVID-19 cases in Malawi have now reached to 16 following three new cases registered in Blantyre today, 13th April, 2020.

Minister of Health and Population who is also Chairperson for the Cabinet Committee on COVID-19, confiremed the development today.

He said the new case includes a lady who returned from Dubai on 17th March and two other relations of the recent individual who tested positive to the virus.

This brings the new total to 16 confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic caused by Coronavirus.

Mhango has since said the government will tomorrow issue new measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
