MEC suspends voter registration in Blantyre City

BLANTYRE – The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has suspended voter registration exercise in Blantyre City after thugs attacked its registration centres and damaged gadgets.
However, registration in Blantyre Rural and other areas included in the first phase will continue.
The country goes to polls on July 2 for Fresh Presidential Elections.
