Malawi Supreme Court of Appeal has started hearing the appeal case which President Peter Mutharika and Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) filed against the Constitutional Court Judgment.
Before the case commenced, Chief Justice Andrew Nyirenda announced that each party in the case will be given 1 hour to present their arguments.
According to Nyirenda , the judges have already gone through the grounds of appeal and skeleton arguments therefore they are well conversant with what is in the documents.
Nyirenda has asked the parties to make sure they stick to the stipulated time.
Meanwhile Lawyers representing first appellant, President Peter Mutharika, Samuel Tembenu and Frank Mbeta are on the floor presenting their argument.
