Mzuzu University (Mzuni) has warned its staff of the presence of a wild animal a hyena, that is moving around the campus in late hours.

According to a statement seen by Face of Malawi, it was firstly spotted by guards in the night of 13 and 14 April.

Adding to that Strange footprints were also spotted around the campus giving a confirmation of the presence of the wild animal around the campus.

The statement which was signed by Security Liaison Officer of the university said that the department of the wildlife and parks have been informed.

He added that the department is working tirelessly to have the animal tamed or eliminated.

Mzuni has therefore cautioned its members of staff around the campus to be more careful.
