The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has stopped recruitment of customs and revenue officers by Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA).
ACB Director General Reyneck Matemba has also issued the restriction order to Commissioner General of MRA restricting him from dealing with any offer of employment.
in respect of position of Revenue Officers currently underway at MRA as the ACB has instituted an investigation into alleged corrupt practices in this respect.
Director General of the ACB, Matemba, has confirmed authoring the restriction order on April 15, 2020.
“Take note that you shall not without my written consent or otherwise deal with any recruitment process in relation to any employment of or proceed with any offer of employment,” Matemba said.
