The number of confirmed covid 19 cases in Malawi has now risen from 17 to 18.
Principal Secretary in the Ministry of health Dr. Dan Namarika has confirmed of the development in a media briefing in Lilongwe on Tuesday.
According to Namarika, the person recently travelled to Tanzania, a country which has registered over 250 covid 19 cases and 10 deaths.
Meanwhile, according to the Principal Secretary, Malawi has tested about 490 suspected covid 19 cases, from which 18 have tested positive for the virus.
