Minister of Disaster nd Public Events Hon Everton Chimulirenji led thousands of Malawians in paying last respect to Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) member Ezekiel Kantande in Kasungu District.
Kantande aged 28 died on Sunday after a short illness.
Chimulirenji represented President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika at the funeral.
Minister of Population and Social Services Hon Clara Makungwa, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Hon Chimwemwe Chipungu, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon Madalitso Kazombo and other senior DPP officials were also present.
