The Immigration Department in conjunction with the Malawi Police service and Malawi Defence Force have started joint patrols along the country’s borders to make sure that people are not using unchartered routes to enter into the country in the wake of the COVID19 pandemic.
Publicists for both the Immigration Department and Police Joseph Chauwa and James Kadadzera have confirmed the development to saying they have mounted several check points across the country and officers have been deployed to work from 6 Am to 6 PM.
Currently, Malawi has registered 6 new cases of corona virus.
This means, Malawi has now recorded 23 cases of corona virus with 2 deaths and 3 recoveries.
