
Private schools demand MK1 billion from govt

Private schools demand K1 billion monthly pay out by government or else they will file a lawsuit to seek compensations following loss of business due to closure of schools amid covid 19 pandemic.
Independent Schools Association of Malawi (ISAMA) made the demand at a press briefing in Lilongwe on Friday.
According to ISAMA, over 1 480 schools are in financial stress and are struggling to pay teachers.
