Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has said its leadership was not consulted before president Peter Mutharika included Leader of opposition Lobin Lowe into the Coronavirus task force.
MCP Secretary General Eisenhower Mkaka said this morning during a press briefing organized by the party’s president Lazarus Chakwera.
While hailing the decision to have all parties be represented in the taskforce, Mkaka says Mutharika should have consulted the Malawi Congress Party from where Lowe comes.
Yesterday in his national address Mutharika restructured the task force committee of Coronavirus whereby he included Lowe, a development applauded by many.
