A Zimbabwean prophet has made astounding claims that he is prepared to heal coronavirus (Covid-19) patients.

The cleric, CK Mugambiwa, made the startling claims in a letter addressed to President Emmerson Mnangagwa requesting for permission to pray for quarantined Covid-19 patients.

As of Tuesday, Zimbabwe recorded 32 Covid-19 cases and five recoveries. Four people have died from the highly infectious respiratory disease caused by the new coronavirus.

Reports reaching this publication from Zimbabwe have revealed that the enthusiastic cleric claims to have successfully healed incurable diseases like cancer, HIV and AIDS before.

‘I am ready to pray for them as I have seen God use me to heal medically incurable diseases like Cancer, HIV and Aids in the course of my career.
I am a prophet based in Kwekwe heading, a congregation of over 1000 believers in Kwekwe and Harare and God prepared to pray for COVID victims.
‘I’m looking forward to a favourable response,’ Mugambiwa said in his letter he addressed to President Mnangagwa and government.

Prophet Mugambiwa’s claims could ignite public outrage from Zimbabweans countrywide since most prophets, particularly in Africa, have become notorious for making bizarre claims to prove how ‘powerful’ they are so that they can attract huge crowds to their congregations.

Late last year, another Zimbabwean prominent prophet, Walter Magaya, caused a huge stir after revealing that he had discovered a drug that could cure HIV/Aids and Cancer.

The Prophetic Healing Deliverance (PHD) Ministries leader was later arrested for allegedly manufacturing medicines without a license.

Following his arrest, Magaya later dismissed reports that he ordered his congregants who were on anti-retroviral medication to stop the medication, citing that his newly discovered cure, the Aguma drug, was still to be approved by medical experts.
