Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) has described the meeting with 2 Cabinet Ministers as fruitless, useless  and a waste of time.

Yesterday, HRDC engaged Minister of Health Jappie Mhango and Information Minister Mark Botomani ver the alleged Covid-19 allowance-gate scandal.

This followed a leaked video clip that went viral on social media in which the two ministers were seen discussing on the said allowances.

At the meeting, the ministers refuted claims saying no minister has pocketed the said money in the name of ,an allowance.

The ministers further said that the video clip and the documents tat were circulating were doctored by ill-minded people.

HRDC has since said that the ministers only said half truths and dry jokes in covering up for the alleged pocketing of Covid 19 allowances.
