The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has once again rejected nomination papers from Independent Presidential candidate Ras David Chikomeni Chirwa.
Ras Chikomeni Chirwa failed to meet some of the requirements set by MEC such as depositing a non-refundable fee of MK2 million.
He also failed to collect required signatures.
MEC Director of Media Sangwani Mwafulirwa confirmed of the development when addressing the media.
The Commission has however asked Chikomeni to rectify the shortfalls before close of business tomorrow.
Last year Chikomeni’s nomination papers were also rejected due to the same matter.
