Chiradzulu Police have arrested a 24-year- old man on Thursday for accidentally killing  his two-year-old daughter during a fight with his wife.

Chiradzulu Police spokesperson, Yohane Tasowana confirmed the development on Friday, saying  during the fight on the evening of May 7, Gibson Tsoka’s blow which was meant for the wife landed on the head of the child.

“Due to the impact, the child fainted and was later pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Following the incident, the father disappeared  and only re-appeared during the burial ceremony,” he said.

According to Tasowana, Tsoka was arrested by police during the funeral and will appear before court soon to answer charges of murder.

Tsoka hails from Ndenjere Village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Ntchema in Chiradzulu.
