The deceased has been identified as Mavuto Zeka of Makhwangwe Village in the area of Traditional Authority Ndamera in the district.
It is reported that the deceased’s parents separated in April this year over family wrangles.
Following the separation, the man who was also a stepfather has been warning that he will kill the woman or any of her relatives.
During the morning of May 11 2020, the boy was found dead in the house where he slept with his 8-year-old brother.
The matter was reported to police who visited the scene accompanied by medical personnel who confirmed death as due to suffocation secondary to physical assault.
Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt for the assailants in connection to the murder.
