De-facto Vice President Everton Chimulirenji who is now Minister of Disaster Management Affairs has accused United Transformation Movement (UTM) President Dr. Saulos Chilima of being behind his ouster.

Chimulirenji said this during a rally at Mayani in Dedza on Thursday graced by Atupele Muluzi , runningmate of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika of DPP-UDF alliance.

According to Chimulirenji, he was removed as Vice president because of Chilima’s decision to go to court to protest against 2019 presidential election.

Chimulirenji said that he cannot blame President Peter Mutharika or Atupele Muluzi for his removal as second in Command so Chilima must stop pretending as if he cares for him because he contributed to his downfall.

“Ineyo u Vice President sanandichose ndi Atupele kepena President Mutharika koma aja anapita ku khoti kukamang’ala za chisankho chipita chija,” said Chimulirenji.

He also vowed to remain in DPP and he expressed hope that the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) will win the forthcoming Presidential polls.
