The Founder and Managing Director for Jeremiah Stationery Jemeremiah Kanzota has said he has no intention to fire employees despite being affected by Covid 19- pandemic and he will not cut down half of salary as other companies.

Speaking in an interview, Kanzota said he has been affected much with Coronavirus because he purchases goods outside the country.

He said the company has been affected because schools were closed, Companies and NGO’s are operating with few workers which makes them not to buy goods in large amounts.

“We purchase our goods from South Africa, Tanzania and Dubai so with the coming of the pandemic, boarders have been closed and no planes are flying to avoid further spread of the virus and because of that it has affected us ,” he said.

Kanzota added that despite the challenges, the staff are not affected as they are receiving their full salary plus transport fares which have been raised by minibus operators.

“We also encourage our customers to follow government preventive measures like social distancing, washing hands with soap or sanitizers and continue to pray to God to defeat the pandemic,” he said.
