After a successful rally on Monday, May 25 at Njamba Freedom Park in the commercial city of Blantyre, Tonse Alliance is expected to take the good news to Lower Shire today this afternoon.
The Alliance which comprises of Malawi Congress Party (MCP, United Transformation Movement (UTM) and other partners is on campaign trail ahead of presidential elections which were sanctioned by the Constitutional Court.
During Njamba rally UTM leader who is also the sate vice president Saulos Chilima, reminded the de-facto vice president Everton Chimulirenji that he will never appear in the history of vice presidents in the country.
Chilima also said that he will be the minister responsible for Finance to make sure that no one messes with tax payers’ money.
This afternoon the alliance will be in Chikwawa were two whistle-stops are expected to be held before the main rally at Nsangwe in Chikwawa South.
