Chilima’s convoy attacked by suspected DPP cadets in Mulanje

Information reaching this publication indicates that suspected youth cadets for the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) have attacked the convoy of state Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima who is also runningmate of Tonse Alliance.
The suspected DPP cadets have smashed windows of one of the vehicles at Chilima’s convoy. The vehicle was being used by the media team.
Chilima is today conducting whistle stop tours in Mulanje and Phalombe districts, a stronghold of the ruling DPP under President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.
United Transformation Movement (UTM) started his tour with a stopover at Zenje area before proceeding to Mulanje Mission.
Chilima is campaigning for Tonse Alliance torchbearer Dr. Lazarus Chakwera ahead of the fresh presidential polls scheduled for June 23, 2020.
