Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) has engaged United Nation (UN) women to strip off President Peter Mutharika’s He4She championship over his vulgar remarks against former president Joyce Banda.
The grouping said this in Lilongwe at a press briefing which is currently underway.
The coalition is also demanding that Mutharika make an immediate public apology to the former head of state.
Yesterday in Thyolo during whistle-tour Mutharika alleged that Banda is a prostitute as she tried to lure former president the late Bingu WA Mutharika in China to sleep with her.
Following Mutharika’s remarks, calls have been made demanding for his public apology to Banda including the Tonse Alliance and some individuals.
Meanwhile, no word has been said form the office of president regarding the calls that are been made.
