Directors of independent Schools Association Malawi (ISAMA) says they will go on with the Friday march to Sanjika Palace in Blantyre to push for an immediate re-opening of schools.
This is so despite a recommendation by the National Planning Taskforce on the Possible Re-opening of Schools, Colleges and Universities that the schools should re-open on July 13, 2020.
ISAMA argues that the closure is violating rights of children.
President Peter Mutharika ordered the closure of all schools in the country on March this year to control the spread of Coronavirus which has claimed three four lives in the country at the moment.
Mutharika also ordered a ban on public gatherings of more than 100 people.
But politicians including the President himself have defiled this order as they are campaigning ahead of the forthcoming fresh Presidential polls scheduled for June 23, 2020.
President Mutharika on Monday held whistle stop tours in Thyolo where thousands of people were in attendance.
