A woman has alleged that her husband forced her to sign as a witness to his live-in agreement with his girlfriend.

The Indian woman has now filed a police complaint against her husband.

The incident has been reported from Kheda district of Gujarat. The woman also alleged that her husband also forced her to talk to his girlfriend so that the two women could live in harmony under the same roof.

As per a report in Times of India, the woman in her First Information Report (FIR) stated that she married the man as per the wishes of her family. The FIR has been filed at police station.

The victim, a resident of Sijvada village in Matar taluka of Kheda, also stated that her husband, who works with a private bank, entered into a relationship with another woman, who is a resident of Nadiad town. The woman came to know about her husband’s relationship with the girl on January 14 this year.

“My husband informed me that he wanted to bring his girlfriend to our home. When I objected to it, he hit me and threatened me with suicide. He also forced me to talk to his girlfriend,” the woman stated in the FIR.

As the woman was pregnant, she had to move to her parents’ house in Sijvada.

On May 14, the victim told her husband that she needed to consult a doctor. Her husband visited her parents’ home and took her with him. However, instead of going to a doctor, the man took his wife to some other place in Vadodara.

“There he beat me up and forced me to sign some papers. He also threatened to kill me and get my child aborted. After I signed the papers, he told me that he had made me sign the live-in agreement with his girlfriend,” the report quoted the victim as saying.

The man thrashed his wife whenever she protested his relationship with the girl.
