Officials at parliament have revealed that the general public will not be allowed to attend parliament meeting in a quest to avoid the spread of Covid-19.
This comes as parliament is set to commence deliberations this coming Friday with a state of the nation address to be delivered by President Peter Mutharika.
Among other arrangements, only 109 hundred legislators will be allowed inside the chamber while others will be following proceedings through televisions in ministerial and members lounges.
Parliament has also removed full days arrangement for deliberations as on daily basis members will only be meeting for two hours to avoid crowd staying together for longtime.
At the moment, members of the press are being oriented at parliament building on the new put in place measures inline with Covid-19 ahead of the sitting.
