Rage
George Floyd passed away on May 27 after police knelt on his neck for nine minutes. Although Mr. Floyd became unresponsive after three minutes, the police officer didn’t let him loose.
Floyd’s death captured on a mobile phone video ignited outrage in the United States over African Americans’ deaths caused by the police.
Moreover, it echoed high profile cases that encouraged the Black Lives Matter Movement such as the July 2014 choking of Eric Garner in New York, and the August 2014 shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson.

Over the weekend, nationwide chaos sparked by police brutality erupted in almost 140 cities. Some turned violent raising alarm regarding the seriousness of the protests.
Crump announced George Floyd’s autopsy showed he died from suffocation caused by a Minneapolis police officer. He added Floyd didn’t die from a pre-existing heart problem as earlier reported.
