Mibawa Television has refuted claims that its head of production Wellington Kuntaja has joined the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
This follows a picture that is circulating on social media where Kuntaja is seen wearing a DPP Barrett with his second finger after the thumb raised a signed used by the blue camp.
In a press statement made available to this publication, Mibawa clarified that the picture was taken during a production “as the producer was joking with one of the members of a program called Bar,”
“The picture sparked rumors and false claims that Mibawa Television and Mr. Wellington Kuntaja would like to reform,” reads the statement.
The statement added that the media house respects all political views and remains dedicated to only spreading factual information to the public.
Mibawa television has therefore apologized for the unfortunate situation.
