The families of people killed during the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) regime have accused political parties of using names of people killed during their era to gain political mileage.
They are reacting to recent remarks by MCP secretary general Eisenhower Mkaka in which he questioned former President Bakili Muluzi on his comments on the death of Aaron Gadama at a rally in Blantrye.
The group led by Charles Dimba Mwenefumbo is now demanding an apology from the MCP over the matter and the attrocities during the one party era.
The members are currently addressing the media at Aucha Lodge in Mzuzu.
The members are drawn from Mangochi, Karonga , Kasungu and Chitipa.
The grouping is trading under the banner returnees and Ex Detainees Association.
