Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates the law enforces have shot two people at Nselema in Machinga for attempting to block a convoy for the State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima who is also runningmate of Tonse Alliance.
Chilima invaded the eastern districts of Mangochi and Machinga, a stronghold for the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and United Democratic Front (UDF) alliance to campaign for Tonse Alliance.
This morning was expected to start his whistle stop rallies with Ngokwe, but some people blocked the road, burning tyres and pelting stones at Nselema and Umbwa.
The development forced the law enforcers to use force by firing live bullets at suspected DPP/UDF supporters injuring two people in the process.
The injured have since been rushed to Machinga District Hospital.
