An Indonesia army MI-17 helicopter has crashed in Central Java Province, killing four crew members and injuring five others.

The incident happened during a training flight on Saturday, As stated by NDTV.

Those injured were evacuated and taken to the hospital.

“The incident killed four crew members and injured five others,” Indonesian Army spokesman, Nefra Firdaus said in a statement.

Firdaus also disclosed that before the accident the helicopter had undergone a pre-flight check and was found to be in good condition.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation as of the time of filing this report.

However, this is the second time a military helicopter has crashed in the past two weeks.

Press had reported that a Russian Mi-8 Military helicopter had crashed at an airport in Russia’s remote eastern Chukotka region, killing all four crew members on May 26.
