Tonse Alliance running-mate Saulos Chilima has urged people of Mangochi to vote for the alliance’s torchbearer who is also Malawi Congress Party (MCP) leader Lazarus Chakwera in the forthcoming fresh presidential elections.
Chilima was speaking today in Mangochi at Sauya Trading Centre during whistle stop campaign tours.
Chilima who is also the state vice president condemned acts of violence that have been happening in some parts of the country.
Speaking to people who gathered at the trading centre, the United Transformation Movement (UTM) leader said Malawi belongs to all of people not for the selected few people.
He therefore asked Tonse Alliance supporters not to retaliate but rather go out to campaign and vote in large numbers when voting time comes.
Among other places Dr Chilima held whistle stops at Nabale School, Sauya, Monkey Bay, Malembo Trading centre and he is currently speaking at Magomelo in Dedza District on his way to Lilongwe.
