A South African gay man has narrated how he escaped death, after he was attacked and beaten up by some suspected homophobes.

Taking to his Twitter page, @MasizoleSukwana, stated that wants to take up the case but he doesn’t know those who attacked him and can’t point at them in broad daylight.

He wrote;

“Imagine being gay and living your life in peace… but you still get beat up for it…

Of course I want to open the case, but against who? I dont know who did this to me, I would not even point them in broad daylight.

I was already on the wrong side of the law by violating the lockdown rules, and trust me, I dont have the energy nor I think I will stand questions like “Why you got beaten up, why couldn’t you fight for yourself…you’re a man”

As it is, I think I’ve explained too much of my self, even when I shouldn’t have done so, walk in our shoes you will understand what I’m saying…

I will just continue doing me, but I will be strong and recover here at home.. your support and love is noticed, but honestly; this is our reality. “

See some reactions to his shocking revelation below;

@RepublicofThut: Sorry for that, but i don’t see any reference of you being beaten for your sexual orientation, it’s hard to know what motivated your attackers to assault you. That being said, there’s no justifiable excuse for doing this to anyone. I hope you have received medical attention.

@NnanaThokoane: Lock down rules or not, but you’re still a Human being and you deserve equal rights too🤞🏾Pensive face

@tez4yu: what happened to you is a crime, for hate is a sin…thieving bullies will be judged by God….His Love created you perfectly, the way you are #BornLove 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾Stay safe and blessed Always 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

@unknown_comrade: I really don’t understand why people would behave like this. Really I don’t. Here we are saying #BlackLivesMatter yet we are comfortable abusing others simply for their sexual preferences. I mean you being gay is only relevant in the confines of your bedroom with your partner.
